MENTORING
The Kingdom Kare Mentoring Program is a transformational initiative designed to inspire, guide, and empower children, teens, and young adults to reach their full potential. Rooted in the belief that mentorship can create lasting change, the program connects participants with dedicated mentors who provide personalized support, encouragement, and accountability.
Program Objectives
- Foster Personal Growth: Build self-confidence, resilience, and leadership skills.
- Promote Academic and Career Success: Offer guidance on educational goals, career planning, and workforce readiness.
- Encourage Positive Relationships: Develop healthy communication skills and strong interpersonal connections.
- Support Life Skills Development: Teach practical skills like goal setting, time management, and financial literacy.
Long-Term Goals
The Kingdom Kare Mentoring Program aims to:
- Increase the number of students who improve in school.
- Ensure students transition successfully to high school.
- Help students remain in stable home environments.
- Develop positive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Target Population
Our program serves 25 students (boys & girls) identified as high-risk for challenges such as:
- Homelessness
- School failure due to poor academic performance
- Poor attendance rates
- High numbers of classroom behavioral issues
Program Activities
Offered 3 days a week after school and occasionally on weekends.
- Academic skill-building to support educational success.
- Group discussions centered on topics like:
- Anger management
- Conflict resolution
- Suicide prevention
- Bullying
- Goal setting and time management
- Stress reduction
- Teamwork and self-esteem
- Mental health and violence prevention
- Tobacco-free living and other life skills
Comprehensive Mentorship
- One-on-one and group mentorship opportunities based on individual needs and goals.
- Matches participants with mentors who share similar interests, experiences, or career aspirations.
Community Engagement
- Encourages giving back through community service projects and volunteer opportunities.
- Provides exposure to networking and partnerships with local organizations.
Supportive Environment
